Marinchak Reaches 1,000; Men's Basketball Defeats Carlow

PITTSBURGH, PA – The 1,000-point club gained a member tonight in Pitt-Greensburg junior Matthew Marinchak. Marinchak scored 14 points, and the Bobcats added another tally to the win column, defeating Carlow 81-60.
 
Marinchak added ten boards and three steals to his 14 points, while Joziyah Wyatt-Taylor scored a team-high 16 points with eight rebounds, five of which were offensive. Ty Keffer and Trent Rozich had 14 and 13 points, respectively, with a combined 13 rebounds. Pitt-Greensburg had 46 points in the paint, and 20 second-chance points off 15 offensive rebounds. Keffer shot a team-best 4-for-6 from behind the arc. The Bobcats out-rebounded the Celtics by ten, including keeping Carlow off the offensive boards with 34 defensive rebounds.
 
Ryan Gregegrson and Jahmir Collins led the way for the Bobcat reserves, playing 34 minutes combined and scoring 15 of the Bobcats' 19 bench points. Greggerson had two blocks in the game, upping his team-high total to 24 on the season.
 
The Bobcats will enjoy a weekend off before they travel to La Roche and look to take down the RedHawks for the second time this season. Tip-off will be at 7 p.m. inside the Kerr Fitness Center.
