Women's Basketball Suffers Tough Loss to Hilbert

HAMBURG, N.Y. – Two-quarters of the Pitt-Greensburg women's basketball team outscoring the Hilbert Hawks on their home court were sandwiched between a first quarter of the Bobcats being outscored 16-6 and a fourth quarter with the team being outscored 16-5, which doomed Pitt-Greensburg to a 62-45 loss.
 
Freshman Jocelyn Bielak led the Bobcats with 13 points and seven rebounds while going 5-for-5 from the free-throw line. Anna Durbin, Trinity Lockwood-Morris, and Ca'Mari Walden all had eight points, with Lockwood-Morris also contributing nine points, four assists, three steals, and a block.
 
The Bobcats shot 27 three-pointers, making just three. Hilbert shot 36 percent from the field, 33 percent from behind the arc, and 70 percent from the line. AS positive for Pitt-Greensburg was shooting 90 percent from the free-throw line, missing just one shot. Hilbert's reserves contributed 19 points, with the Bobcats scoring just six bench points, all from Rakiyah Porter.
 
The Bobcats will look to finish the season strong with two games to close out. The first will be in Cresson against the Mounties of Mount Aloysius. The tip-off will be at 7 p.m.
