Litts Throws Gem; Baseball Earns First Win

AUBURNDALE, FL – Seven strong innings on the mound by junior Tyler Litts, as well as three hits and two runs scored by James Domer led the Bobcats to the team's first win of the season over the Beavers of Bluffton 7-3.

Litts struck out four batters while giving up seven hits and walking just one. He conceded two runs to the Beavers. Freshman JJ Siemon earned the first save of his young Bobcat career, pitching two innings in relief. Domer and sophomore Joshua Preston had a double, while senior Thomas Smith also had an extra-base hit, a triple.

The Bobcats tallied nine hits, with Domer, Preston, and Smith having multiple hits. Pitt-Greensburg worked four walks by the Bluffton pitching. The Beavers went through five pitchers over the nine innings, with four of the seven runs coming off the starter.
