The Pitt-Greensburg women's volleyball team fell in straight sets to visiting Bethany College (WV) on Wednesday night, dropping the non-conference match 25-16, 25-20, 25-13 at Chambers Hall.
The Bobcats showed stretches of strong play, particularly in the second set, but were ultimately unable to match the Bison's offensive consistency and depth. Pitt-Greensburg was led by
Ca'Mari Walden, who paced the team with six kills, while
Emily Hernandez anchored the defense with a match-high 18 digs. Setter
Lilly Buckles added 10 assists and contributed three service aces, keeping the Bobcats competitive in long rallies.
The second set proved to be the closest of the night, as Pitt-Greensburg battled to within a few points late, but a series of timely kills by Bethany helped the visitors pull away. Despite the loss, the Bobcats continue to show growth and grit.Â
The Bobcats return to the court Saturday in a tri-match at Penn State Harrisburg with the host Lions and New Jersey City College
