Women's Tennis Drops Road Match to Saint Vincent, 5–2

The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg women's tennis team continued its fall season with a competitive road match at Saint Vincent College, falling 5–2 at the SVC Courts.

The Bobcats earned a strong win at #1 doubles, where Gabi Moder and Nancy Jiang rallied from a 4–5 deficit to win three straight games and take the match 7–5.
"1 doubles played very well!" said Head Coach Deven Summers. "Nancy and Gabi were down 4–5 and won 3 games in a row to win 7–5!"

In singles play, Nancy Jiang and Karen Rabe delivered straight-set victories to secure Pitt-Greensburg's two points. Jiang defeated Rachel Zgurich 6–2, 6–0 at #3 singles, while Rabe took down Emily Pierce 6–1, 6–4 at #2 singles.
"Nancy and Karen played very well in singles as well," Summers added. "Winning both of their matches in straight sets!"

Saint Vincent claimed wins in the remaining doubles and singles matches, including a hard-fought battle at #1 singles, where Moder fell to reigning PAC Player of the Year Carolina Walters in straight sets.

Pitt-Greensburg will look to build on the strong performances from Jiang and Rabe as the team continues its fall schedule Friday at Washington & Jefferson
