Men’s Soccer Plays to Scoreless Draw at Wilson

The Pitt-Greensburg men's soccer team battled to a 0-0 draw on the road against Wilson College on Sunday afternoon at Kris's Meadow. Despite a late surge in the second half, the Bobcats were unable to break through in a tightly contested match.

Pitt-Greensburg (1-2-2) outshot Wilson 9-8, including a 7-2 advantage in the second half, but Wilson goalkeeper Logan Neves made six saves to keep the Bobcats off the board.

"Unfortunately, it took us 60 minutes to get started and it was too late at that point," said Head Coach Mark Bucci. "We created some dangerous chances the last 30 minutes and saw some more glimpses of what we can achieve this season."

The Bobcats' best opportunities came late, with Ethan Rose, Brayten Sedor, and Austin Emery each putting shots on target. Rose led the team with two shots, while Ben Pittman and Lucas Pittman also contributed to the offensive push.

Bobcat goalkeeper Nick Braun recorded four saves to earn his first shutout of the season.

"Nick Braun had a couple bright moments to keep us tied," Bucci added, "but we weren't clinical enough in the other box to put something on the scoreboard."

The Bobcat men look to get back in the winner's column Wednesday as the travel to Muskingum to take on the Fighting Muskies. Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm.
