Bobcats Drop Close Game to Juniata

The Pitt-Greensburg Men's Basketball dropped a closely contested game to Juniata College on Friday by a score of 60-58. This extends the Bobcats losing streak to four games after having a short pause due to COVID Protocols.
 
Matt Johsnon led the way in the scoring column for the Bobcats, scoring 16 points on 7-19 shooting. Nick Kotecki also scored in double-digits, dropping 11 points. Juniata held JoJo France, the Bobcats leading scorer, to just four points on five shots in the game. Reggie Priah led the way on the boards with nine rebounds.
 
Pitt-Greensburg shots 40.6 percent from the field and 26.1 percent from behind the arc in the game. UPG was held to just one free throw attempt in the game. The Bobcats turned the ball over just 11 times, however Juniata scored 15 points off of those 11 turnovers. Compared to just six points off of 13 turnovers for the Bobcats.
 
The teams were as close to even as possible in rebounds, blocks, bench points, second chance points and fast break points. The only thing that propelled Juniata over the Bobcats was their 42 points in the paint. That was 12 more points that the Bobcats recorded.
 
Pitt-Greensburg will have a rematch with Washington & Jefferson on Saturday at 5 pm in the final game of the tournament for both teams. The Bobcats dropped its first matchup with the Presidents 88-79. W&J forced the Bobcats into 20+ turnovers in the game, which proved to be the difference.
