Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

France nets 34;Bobcats earn first win of Klimchock Era

The Bobcat Men's Basketball Team had an early Thanksgiving feast and earned the first win of the Klimchock Era by defeating the Bethany Bison 83-70. JoJo France got back to his scoring ways, netting a season high 34 points, including five three pointers to lead the Bobcats.

France was not the only Pitt-Greensburg player to score in double figures. In total, four Bobcats reached double figures, including France, Matt Johnson, Lukas Swartz, and Reggie Priah. Johnson has been in double figures for three-straight games. He also contributed six rebounds and three assists to go with his 17 points. Swartz shot 50 percent from the field en route to his 15 points and Reggie Priah contributed eight rebounds to go along with his 11 points. 81 of the 83 Bobcats points were scored by the starters, with the only two bench points coming from Octavius Hardy.

Pitt-Greensburg also took care of the ball, surrendering just ten turnovers in the game. The team also scored 38 points in the paint and contributed 14 fast break points. Pitt-Greensburg was only able to turn Bethany over seven times, however, the team was able to capitalize on those turnovers, scoring 14 points of those seven turnovers.

Even without forcing many turnovers, the Bobcat defense was on point, holding the Bison to shooting 39 percent from the field and just 23.8 percent from behind the arc. The Bobcats also shot seven more free throws than Bethany.

Pitt Greensburg will be in action next on Saturday when they travel to Malone to play in exhibition matchup before conference play starts on the December 4th against Hilbert.
