Bobcat Men's Basketball Has Final Tune-Up Before AMCC Play

CANTON, OH – The Bobcat Men's Basketball team traveled to Malone University to play in a post-Thanksgiving exhibition as a final tune up before conference play. Pitt-Greensburg fell to Malone 101-71. The loss will not be reflected in the Bobcats record with the game being used as the team's second exhibition.

The Bobcats had three players score in double figures, led by JoJo France's 18 points. Reggie Priah had near double-double numbers recording 16 points and coming down with seven rebounds as well. Matt Johnson, the third Bobcat in double figures, scored 12 points.

The Bobcats came out hot in the second half, shooting 50 percent from the field, 54 percent from behind the arc and 83 percent from the free throw line. Those numbers cooled significantly in the second half, with Pitt-Greensburg shooting 41/25/60 in the second half.

Malone outscored the Bobcats in the paint 42-26 and nearly doubled Pitt-Greensburg in fast break points. Malone also scored 20 points off 15 Pitt-Greensburg turnovers while the Bobcats scored just eight points off of eight Malone turnovers.

Pitt-Greensburg once again relied on its starters for most of the scoring, as the team had 13 of its 71 points coming from bench players, with eight of those 13 points coming from Tommy Arbuckle.

The Bobcats will start AMCC play on December 4th when they host Hilbert at the Chambers Hall Gymnasium.
