Mavericks catch fire from three; Bobcats fall to Medaille

GREENSBURG, PA – It was raining threes inside Chambers Hall Gymnasium as the Mavericks of Medaille sank 43.5 percent from behind the arc to lead them over the Bobcats 93-67. Pitt-Greensburg was led by Reggie Priah and his 14 points in his first game back on the court since January 15. Priah also had four rebounds and four assist.
 
Micah Jones, JoJo France and Matt Johnson also scored in double-figures for the Bobcats. Pitt-Greensburg was forced into 19 turnovers with the Mavericks scoring 22 points off of those 19 turnovers. Medaille outscored the Bobcats 50-22 in the paint. Priah led the team in field goal percentage, making 50 percent of his shots. Jones went a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line.
 
Jaylen Williams led the Bobcats in rebounds, securing eight of the 37 Pitt-Greensburg boards. The Bobcats were able to score 14 second chance points off of 14 offensive rebounds. Medaille held the Bobcats to just four fast break points in the game. The Mavericks also had production from their bench, scoring 39 bench points.
 
For Medaille, Bryce Smith went a perfect 5-for-5 from behind the arc and scored a game-high 18 points. Jorarei Bile scored 15 and Rodney Graves dropped 14 off the bench.
 
The Bobcats will be back on the court on Wednesday when they take on the Red Hawks of La Roche. Tip-off is set for 7:30.
