Bobcats Extend Win Streak to Four Games; Defeat Previously Unbeaten Behrend

GREENSBURG,PA – The Bobcat men's basketball team completed the Pitt-Greensburg sweep of previously unbeaten teams on Wednesday night, defeating Penn State-Behrend 77-66. JoJo France scored a game high 24 points and made five triples while Micah Jones had season high in points (21) and threes made (4) while going perfect from behind the arc and the free-throw line.
 
The Bobcats started out hot, sinking seven threes in the first half and shot 50 percent from the floor. France made four of his five triples in the first half and had 17 points at the break. Every Bobcat that played in the first half had a positive rating in the +/- stat with Jeremiah Crockett leading the way as a plus-10 player rating. The Bobcats kept the pressure on the Lions with all but one of Behrend player having a negative rating.
 
The Bobcats reached its largest lead of the half with 3:13 left in the half and held the lead for over 12 minutes in the half. The difference in the first half came from the free-throw line with the Bobcats sinking nine free throws and Behrend only making three.
 
Pitt-Greensburg kept the pace in the second half, shooting over 43 percent from the floor while holding Behrend to only shooting just over 34.5 percent from the floor. Once again, the Bobcats were highly effective, lead by Crockett who finished as a plus-15 for the game. Pitt-Greensburg also had the advantage from behind the arc, shooting 45.5 percent from distance and held Behrend to just two three pointers in the second half.
 
Overall, the Bobcats held the lead for 27 out of the 40 minutes played and led by up to 14 points at one point. The win over Behrend is gives the Bobcats a three-game win streak, the longest of the season. Pitt-Greensburg will host Bradford on Saturday to go for four-straight. Tip-off will be a 4 pm.
