Priah Continues Hot Streak; Bobcats Fall to Altoona

ALTOONA, PA – Despite yet another huge night from Reggie Priah which included a season-high 16 rebounds, the Lions of Penn State-Altoona snapped the Bobcats win streak at four games. The Lions defeated Pitt-Greensburg 98-79 behind a 52-point second half. With the loss, the Bobcats fall to 7-6 in AMCC play while Penn State-Altoona sits atop the conference with a 12-2 record.

While Pitt-Greensburg shot a respectable 40 percent from the floor, Altoona shot over 50 percent from the field and over 37 percent from behind the arc. A lot of damage was done in the paint by both teams with 96 combined points being scored in the restricted area. The Lions outrebounded the Bobcats 51-42 and were able to score 15 second chance points. Altoona was also able to get on the fast break, scoring 27 points in transition.

Pitt-Greensburg had a larger than normal scoring contribution coming from the bench with JoJo France scoring ten points after not starting for the first time this season. Matt Johnson was able to net three triples to account for his nine points.

A strength of the Bobcats during the team's winning streak was its ability to get to the free-throw line. That was not the case tonight with Pitt-Greensburg only getting to the line eight times, including only once in the first half.

Altoona had five players score in double-digits, including Andruw Harman who tied with Priah for a game-high 20 points. The Bobcats had just one player play over 30 minutes.

Pitt-Greensburg will be in action again as they travel to Medaille this Saturday. Tip off is set for 3 pm.
