Baseball Wins Another Game in Florida

AUBURNDALE, FL – Another night, another win for the Pitt-Greensburg baseball team as they defeated the Fighting Scotts of Gordon College 11-2. In all, the Bobcats have outscored their opponents 61-14 during their spring trip to Florida.
 
Pitt-Greensburg jumped out to a 7-1 lead in the first three innings and that was more than enough for the Bobcat pitching staff, in particular freshman Ben Aftanas. Aftanas threw six innings of four-hit ball and struck out ten batters. He gave up just two runs, both earned. Tommy Ciesielski and Zach Lane also had a solid showing as they shut the door for the final three innings.
 
Freshman Friankie Sebastiano had a great day behind the plate and in the batter's box as he went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored. Seniors Jace Cappellini, Will Thorp and Randy Hubbard also had multi-hit games. Junior Mason Boehm got on base four times, three times by hits, and scored three runs.
 
Tomorrow will be an off day for the Bobcats.
