Bobcats Sweep Away Brandywine in Final Day of Spring Trip

AUBURNDALE, FL – The Bobcat baseball team finished up spring break with a sweep of Penn State Brandywine. Overall, the team went 6-1 on the trip and is 6-2 overall.
 
In game one today, Steven Muratore pitched five innings and struck out ten batters, giving up two runs, just one earned. Fifth-year senior Michael Sullivan got the save for the Bobcats and Tommy Ciesielski earned his first college win in the game. Freshman James Domer continued his hot start, going 2-for-3 in the game, driving in two RBI and scoring two runs as well. He hit his third triple of the season. Sullivan went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. The designated Hitter also had multiple RBI as he went 2-for-4.
 
Nathan Mankoski earned his second win on the season in game two as he backed up his 15 strikeout game with nine strikeouts today. Mankoski pitched six innings and gave up one run as it was unearned. Domer backed up his solid game one with a double and two RBI in game two. Freshman Ben Aftanas tore the cover off the ball as he went 4-for-4 with two runs scored as he set the table for the rest of the lineup.
 
The Bobcats will return home and take on Oberlin this Saturday at Bobcat Park in a doubleheader. The first pitch of game one will be at 1 PM.
