Volleyball Earns First Win of Season; Sweep Away Phoenix

CHAMBERSBURG, PA  - The Pitt-Greensburg women's volleyball team earned their first win of the season in their fourth match, sweeping away the Phoenix of Wilson College.
 
The Bobcats dominated the match, as Wilson was only able to get withing five points at the end of set two, the closest they came. The Bobcats won the first set 25-16 and the third set 25-18.
Sophomore Mia Stohon led the team in kills for the second match in-a-row. Stohon had ten kills, one more than fellow sophomore Madison Friess. Junior Grace Bradley and Abigail Smulik had double digit assists, with 17 and 11 respectively. Friess and freshman Rakiyah Porter had 11 digs each.
 
The Bobcats will play their opener in Chambers Hall this Saturday as Franciscan will make the trip to Greensburg. First serve will be at 1:00 PM.
