The Pitt-Greensburg Bobcats and Pitt-Bradford Panthers square off Saturday in an early-season Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference matchup, with both teams looking for their first win of the year.

Pitt-Greensburg opened conference play Wednesday with a 64-39 loss at Penn State Altoona. Kaylee Charles led the Bobcats with 16 points, while Autumn Matthews added 14. Charles, who joined the team three games into the season, has quickly become a key contributor, averaging 13.0 points per game.

Pitt-Bradford also began AMCC play Wednesday, falling 67-61 to Hilbert. Amber Murak paced the Panthers with a game-high 26 points and leads the team with 14.7 points per game. Fellow guard Dalayla Alexander adds another scoring threat, averaging 11.8 points per contest.

Both teams were tied for seventh in the AMCC preseason poll, setting the stage for a competitive matchup. Last season, Pitt-Greensburg swept the series, winning 66-58 and 71-66. In the February meeting, Bobcats guard Jocelyn Bielak delivered a career-high 40 points to lead UPG to victory.

With both squads hungry for their first win, expect an intense battle in KOA Arena as conference play heats up.
