The Pitt-Greensburg women's basketball team returns home Wednesday night looking to snap its conference skid as the Bobcats host first-place La Roche, the undefeated leaders of the AMCC.

Bobcats Look to Build on Individual Success

Pitt-Greensburg (1–14, 1–5 AMCC) enters the matchup following an 87–43 road loss at Mount Aloysius on Monday, but the game showcased standout performances from two key scorers.

  • Jocelyn Bielak continued her strong junior season with a team‑high 16 points. Bielak enters the night averaging 13.1 points per game, leading the Bobcats in scoring.
  • Addison Musto, the newest addition to the roster, delivered her second straight impressive outing with 15 points. Through her first two collegiate games, Musto is averaging 12.0 points per game, quickly emerging as a reliable offensive option.

A major storyline for the Bobcats will be whether Bielak and Musto can continue producing at a high level against one of the AMCC's most complete defensive teams.

La Roche Aiming to Stay Perfect in AMCC Play

La Roche (7–9, 7–0 AMCC), the defending AMCC champion and preseason favorite to repeat, comes to Chambers Hall riding confidence from wins in four of its last five games. The Redhawks most recently defeated Penn State Altoona 72–64 on Saturday.

The catalyst in that win—and throughout the season—has been star guard Jazmine Dunn, who exploded for 30 points and 12 rebounds, shooting 6‑for‑11 from beyond the arc. Dunn enters Wednesday averaging 19.9 points per game, the second‑highest mark in the conference.
She is complemented by Catherine Kelly, who adds another consistent scoring threat at 13.6 points per game.

A key storyline will be whether Pitt‑Greensburg can contain Dunn, particularly from long distance, and prevent La Roche from building momentum early.

Key Storylines to Watch

  • Can the Bobcats slow down Jazmine Dunn? The Redhawks' star is coming off a monster performance and is the league's most dangerous three‑level scorer.
  • Early impact from newcomer Addison Musto. After averaging 12 points in her first two games, Musto's emergence gives UPG a new offensive dimension.
  • Bielak's consistency. Bielak has been the anchor of the Bobcats' offense all season—can she continue pacing the team against the conference's top squad?
  • La Roche's perfect AMCC record. The Redhawks are 7–0 in conference play and aim to stay unbeaten as they push toward another championship run.

Tipoff

The Bobcats and Redhawks meet Wednesday at 7 PM in Chambers Hall, where Pitt‑Greensburg will look to pull off a statement win against the AMCC's frontrunner.
