WBB Preview: vs Mount Aloysius

Pitt‑Greensburg vs. Mount Aloysius
Wednesday, Jan. 28 | 7 p.m. | Chambers Hall

The Pitt‑Greensburg women's basketball team returns home Wednesday night looking to regroup against a familiar AMCC opponent when it hosts Mount Aloysius at Chambers Hall.

The Bobcats enter the matchup at 1‑16 overall and 1‑7 in conference play, coming off an 81‑50 road loss at Alfred State on Saturday.  Ca'Mari Walden led Pitt‑Greensburg in that contest with 12 points, while Jocelyn Bielak and Addison Musto each added 11. Bielak continues to pace the Bobcats offensively, averaging 13.1 points per game, and has been a consistent scoring option throughout conference play. Musto, a newcomer who has made an immediate impact, has provided a spark in the Bobcat lineup, averaging 9.3 points per game in just four games this season.

Mount Aloysius arrives in Greensburg with a 7‑11 overall record and a 5‑4 AMCC mark, following an 80‑57 road victory at Pitt‑Bradford on Saturday afternoon. The Mounties were balanced offensively in that win, with Molly Richards and Annalyn Isaacs each scoring 17 points. The duo combined to shoot 7‑for‑12 from three‑point range, giving Mount Aloysius a lift from the perimeter. Inside, Molly Kosmack, the AMCC's leading rebounder, controlled the glass with 19 boards, underscoring the Mounties' strength in the paint.

Key Storylines

Bounce‑Back Opportunity at Home
Pitt‑Greensburg will look to respond after a tough outing at Alfred State and use its home floor to generate momentum as the season enters its final stretch. Limiting turnovers and finding more offensive consistency will be key for the Bobcats against a Mount Aloysius squad that is playing with confidence.

Bielak and Musto Provide Scoring Punch
The Bobcats showcased one of their more productive offensive efforts earlier this month against the Mounties, as Bielak and Musto combined for 31 points. Replicating that dual‑scoring threat will be crucial if Pitt‑Greensburg hopes to keep pace.

Mounties Seeking the Season Sweep
This is the second meeting between the two teams in a span of nine days, after Mount Aloysius posted an 87‑43 victory in the first matchup. Isaacs led the Mounties with 16 points in that game, while Mount Aloysius' inside‑out balance proved difficult to defend.

Battle in the Paint
Kosmack's presence on the boards presents a major challenge for the Bobcats. Containing second‑chance opportunities and competing on the glass will be a focal point for Pitt‑Greensburg as it looks to narrow the gap from the first meeting.

Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. as the Bobcats attempt to defend their home court and rewrite the script against a Mount Aloysius team pushing for a strong finish in AMCC play.
