The AMCC announced pre-season awards today, seeing a sweep by the Bobcat baseball team.
After a standout season last year,
James Domer defended his 2025 AMCC Player of the Year award with a Pre-Season Player of the Year award for 2026. Domer was an AMCC first team all-conference selection in 2025 and named the AMCC Player of the Year. Domer tied for the lead nationally in batting average (.496), while also leading team in batting
average (.496), doubles (11), homeruns (8), total bases (110), slugging percentage (815), and on-base percentage (.554). He was a member of the AMCC All-Tournament Team, First Team AllRegion, ABCA/Rawlings First Team All-Region, Third Team All-America, ABCA/Rawlings All-America Fourth Team All-America, as well as being named to the All-ECAC Team. Domer comes back for his senior season poised to continue rewriting the Pitt-Greensburg record books.
Also defending a 2025 AMCC award,
Conner Burkey was named 2026 AMCC Pre-Season Pitcher of the Year. Burkey was an AMCC first team all-conference selection in 2025 and was named the AMCC Pitcher of the Year. He tied for the lead in all of Division III in complete games (8), while also leading the team in complete games (8), innings pitched (69.1), wins (8), ERA (2.86), WHIP (1.08), and strikeouts (61). Burkey was also named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Third Team.
With Domer and Burkey back in the lineup, Pitt-Greensburg has high expectations heading into 2026. A full season preview is coming soon.
