GREENSBURG- The University of Pittsburgh Greensburg and head coach Marc Bucci are pleased to announce that Matt Bisceglia and Nick Piccirilli have been named assistant men's soccer coaches.

"When considering who I wanted to be my assistants, these two were the first coaches I had in mind and I couldn't be more excited to have them on board," remarked Bucci. "Matt and Nick represent everything I want in a coach and specifically, who are needed to help change the culture of this program.  I look forward to many successful seasons with them and I know we can do great things together."

Bisceglia and Piccirilli both completed their collegiate playing careers for Robert Morris and Seton Hill respectively. Bisceglia played goalie for the Colonials and prior to RMU, earned multiple All-Section honors at Kiski Area High School. The first year head coach also gained international experience in England working with Watford FC, Crystal Palace FC, and Oxford United.

Bisceglia has experience coaching club soccer, having coached with GK Icon Pittsburgh since 2015, PA West ODP since 2016, and also served as an assistant coach for the 2006 AFFC Boys.

Bisceglia has earned the United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeping Level 3 Diploma, the U.S. Soccer Federation 11v11 and 9v9 licenses, and will soon be a candidate for the "D" license.

Piccirilli, who currently serves as the SCS United Academy Director for the 8U, 9U, and 10U programs, will help aid the Bobcats as the team's recruiting coordinator. Piccirilli has worked with SCS since 2018 and also has coaching experience with the New York Redbulls Regional Development Schools and Training Programs and the Eastern New York Olympic Development Program. A graduate of Center High School, Piccirilli also has worked with the soccer programs at both Central Valley High School and Avonworth.

Piccirilli also has earned his "D" license from the United States Soccer Federation, as well as multiple certifications from the United Soccer Coaches Association (Advanced Diploma, Reading of the Game Diploma, and Level 1 Goalkeeping).

Bucci and his two new assistants kick off their first season as coaching for the Pitt-Greensburg men's soccer program Friday, Aug. 31, when they host Muskingum University at 5 pm.
