Men's Soccer Struggles to Keep Pace with Franciscan

Box Score STEUBENVILLE, OH – The Bobcat Men's Soccer team continued its road trip with a 2-0 loss to Franciscan on Wednesday. UPG tallied just six shots with two getting on net compared to the Barons' 21 shots and 12 on goal.
 
A positive for the Bobcats was Danny Rodgers who was active in net, in the box and outside of the box, controlling the tempo of the game for Pitt-Greensburg. Rodgers made ten saves on 12 shots.
 
Franciscan was able to control the possession game as the teams spent a lot of the match in Franciscan's offensive end. The Bobcats were able to have a couple of quick flashes of play, putting pressure on the Barons' defense, however, the were not able to capitalize and find the back of the net.
 
Caleb Yuricha continued his strong offensive start, recording three shots to lead the Bobcats. One of those three shots were on goal.
 
The Bobcats will be in action again on Sept. 11 when they travel to take on Penn State-Beaver.
