NORTH BOSTON, NY – The Pitt-Greensburg softball team has celebrated its team success over the past few days. An AMCC Championship and NCAA Tournament Berth left the Bobcats plenty. However, the focus on Tuesday quickly goes to individuals before the team heads to the state of Indiana for the NCAA Tournament.

Six Bobcat Softball Players are being recognized as the best of the best in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference, including Newcomer of the Year in Shelby Cloak and Head Coach Chuck Myers being voted Co-Coach of the Year.

The First teamers include pitcher Melanie Mienke and catcher Jessica Dunn. Mienke has been named ALL-AMCC all four years as a Bobcat, while Dunn follows up a second-team selection her freshman year with her first team selection.

Two roommates, Autumn Powell and Kylie Karns, the dynamic duo, were named to the second team as the AMCC All-AMCC for the first time in their careers. Karns follows up fellow Burrell High School and Pitt-Greensburg second baseman Kayla Santucci as an All-AMCC second baseman. Powell and Mienke joined the top two Mount Aloysius pitchers as the only two pitching duos named All-Conference.

Rounding out the nominations was third-team third baseman Shelby Cloak, who was also voted the conference's top freshman. Cloak joins Head Coach Chuck Myers as two of the AMCC's top award winners.

The five players and coach are the most AMCC selections in program history.
