SB Preview: Marywood and Hood

Game 1 Preview

Pitt-Greensburg Bobcats (1-5) vs. Marywood Pacers (2-2)
March 12 – 9:00 AM – Clermont, Fla.

Pitt-Greensburg returns to the field Thursday morning following an off day as the Bobcats look to bounce back and finish strong during their final two days of competition in Florida.

Offensively on the trip, the Bobcats have been paced by Shelby Cloak, who is hitting an impressive .545 with five RBIs. Kenzie Lang has also provided production in the middle of the lineup, batting .273 with four RBIs and blasting her first home run of the season on Tuesday.

In the circle, Autumn Powell has led the Bobcats' pitching efforts so far. Powell owns a 4.28 ERA across three starts and has been a steady presence for Pitt-Greensburg early in the season.

Marywood also enters the matchup after an off day. The Pacers split a pair of games with Curry and Regis on Tuesday and bring a balanced offensive attack into Thursday's contest. Tori Para and Lauryn Notari have been the top performers at the plate for Marywood during the Florida trip, each hitting .500 with five RBIs.

Pitcher Megan Linkhorst has been key for the Pacers in the circle, earning both of the team's victories while posting a 4.67 ERA.

Thursday's matchup will mark the first meeting in program history between Pitt-Greensburg and Marywood.

Game 2 Preview

Pitt-Greensburg Bobcats (1-5) vs. Hood Blazers (1-9)
March 12 – 11:15 AM – Clermont, Fla.

Following the morning contest, Pitt-Greensburg will close out the day with a matchup against Hood.

The Blazers come into the game riding momentum after earning their first win of the season on Wednesday, a 6-5 victory over Juniata. The decisive blow came from Kara Heidlauf, who delivered a three-run home run to help secure the win.

Offensively this season, Hood has been led by Taylor Lowe, who is hitting .310 with two home runs and five RBIs.

Thursday's game will mark the second all-time meeting between the programs. The only previous matchup came in 2020, when Hood earned a 4-2 victory over the Bobcats.

Pitt-Greensburg will look to use the doubleheader as an opportunity to build momentum as the team enters the final stretch of its Florida trip.
